laura's modern shopping venture

i entered the shop

and then i stopped

seeing something , i hopped

with happiness , i hopped

singing, dancing , smiling,

laughing, jumping, hopping,

rolling. rocking,whistling,

i was glad i was shopping

there were luscious apples

and he offered me some samples

i checked my purse for some money

and to my dismay, i had no penny

but the apples are as sweet as honey

oh god, i want some money

so i ran down home

but found no gold

but i wanted the apples,

luscious red tasty apples

so i asked the shopkeeper

{ when to the market returned}

" oh dear, i have no money for your apples

but they are too tasty, can i have some samples?

i will give you the money tomorrow

come to my home, the next morrow"

he said he wanted no money

and i could take some for free

he knew for them i was hungry

he knew i was too thirsty

so i took the apple

my very own sample

and ate that, simple

tasted too good, that apple

the shopkeeper returned the next morning

i thought, i will buy the tasty thing

but to my surprise, he had nothing

but he came to tell me something

" dear lady, i gave you an apple

and though i said it was a free sample

because i saw you were too hungry

and you could not curb your desire for honey

but dear, i ant something in return

and no , nothing from your purse

but i like your beautiful golden hair

and that would do for your share"

i told him it was okay and gave him my hair

but asked him to return again with the apples

he went dancing, singing , whistling for his share

and i waited for days for the tasty apples.

i went shopping everyday but found no apples

they said, no apples could be found in summer

and then i longed for the luscious samples

that gave me that good shopkeeper

i wanted those apples badly

but could not get them , sadly

i waited till the winter season

waited, waited,waited with the reason

to shop for some apples

tasty, luscious apples

the winter came but not apples

not those tasty apples

and then i thought i can't ever get them

so then i stopped waiting for them

but one day again after some years

i heard him selling those apples, heard it in my ears

and i could not stop myself

i ran and ran and ran

and with a truck an accident i had

i got injured and went to the hospital

(with evil smiles)

and the doctor said;

" girl you will be fine

just don't shop this time"

(with evil smiles)

" an apple a day keeps the doctor away"

i wrote this thinking about a modern day shopping venture of laura but got lost midway and probably wrote the most stupid and senseless poem of all times,

i am unable to find any interpretations and meanings for it, so please help invited from all english hons students who read goblin market .. please inform me wat you thought about this and what cud be the meaning
